Quote: X2 Too much corn can compromise their health. Add to a fatty liver, less eggs and weak immune system. You would be better off adding a supplement that has more protein as well. They won't need to eat as much food and will be getting more vitamins and minerals that way.

like what ? the wheat ? I have some baby vitamins with DHA . trying to find out if i can give that. no iron . I read your post Leyla about the alfalfa back in 2014. it sounds like a pain too.

It's like eating junk food all day and your body keeps craving food, so you keep eating. If you eat a good diet you eat less because your body doesn't need to search for more food to satisfy it's need for things.

Same with chickens. I use that Calf Manna stuff....the Performance Pellets. My birds eat a 1/3 less than they would without it.

Mutt, my clogged arteries are the reason I had a heart attack a month ago. I have a stent now. It was 95% blocked. 1 artery in my neck is 100% clogged.

Since everyone is confessing...1 DH, 1 83 yo Pops, 2 horses 15 chickens, 7 dogs, 2 house cats, 5 barn cats and a koi pond. Gave up canaries, tortoises, goats, burros, exotic parrots a few years back.

so should i go to layer mash ? I am confused now. I thought if they had a little more protein it would balance the corn.
