I've done this every year for I don't know how long. I sell to friends and the people Bob works with. No one has time to do anything from scratch so I get paid to do it for them.
I usually make at least 100 sticky rolls or 3 dozen dumplings at a time. Don't forget the kids and grands stop by and are disappointed if the cookie jar is empty.
so If i could get my hands on that I could feed my chickens all winter for $23. ?? is that all you give them and why so much ? that sounds like a great price.
Don't tempt me. I may just show up on your door. I was born in Maryland, but don't remember it at all. I remember New Jersey, but we moved out here when I was 6. I really want to see the east coast, but we always end up going west to visit hub's brother in Maui. Sounds terrible, doesn't it? Hmmm, but now that I know somebody in MD.... Hmmmm. My son took a school trip to DC ans NYcity this summer. He's seen more than I have. Need to fix that!
That's good to know, have wondered about buying oats & other grains if they would loose nutritional value if they weren't used fast enough.
I'll have to find my chocolate covered cherry recipe for you. It's ready to eat in a couple weeks.
Many farmer's store their grain the harvest in bins until either they need the money or the price is good. The grain does loose some moisture which means lost weight and although small grain is sold by the bushel it is really weight bases so some loss of money as well. Take spring wheat a standard bushel is about 60 to 62 pounds a bushel. Corn, sunflowers, and I believe soybeans are sold by the 100 weight.
And this class concludes our lesson in Agricultural Economic's for the day
