no sleep for me last night. gave up at 3 and turned the coffee on. feeling better though. just tired .LOL think it was the excitement. we got a dusting of snow some places got hit harder. been lucky so far this yr. Think if i had a nice looking cage i would bring the babies in. I do have one but should be hatching some eggs pretty quick here. today is day 19 .seen was rocking 2 days ago. i am having a hard time with the humidity. all trays filled and 2 socks but it is dry still. put a roast in the crock pot last night and have it sitting about 5 ft. from the incubator. thinking the steam from it will serve double duty. after dinner I am going to put it back on with the lid off. starting to get shocked on the carpets. dogs rolling on the floor then stick their wet nose on your hand makes for an electric situation.think i will add some cinnamon and vanilla to the mix and see if it covers dog . I havent been outside yet. it is so cold and we are to have -5 for lows coming up. and of course all the chickens need water today. 4, one gallon jugs to tote out. I need some of those battery operated under clothes. keep ya warm.

there are size category not sure how it goes but micro,mini, A, B,C . something like that. the two i have already the hen is size A and not sure on the roo yet. she makes 4 of the little one. Im sure she is not done growing yet though

How is your Swedish rooster today?

I am a little confused about the rooster. One day day he is rattling , eye swelled shut, hanging head. next day not a thing in the world wrong with him. no swelling, rattle , nothing then right back to it. I continued the tylan. the best i seen him was the day after i tubed him but he is still eating. he is also fussing at me more and that is every day. just complaining when i pick him up. I would think he is sore.

Do you have a scale to weigh him on? If he is gaining weight, then he is on the mend. It is very important to make sure he is drinking enough. If he is drinking enough, it doesn't matter as much if he is only eating a little. What does his poop look like now?

its still dark green with some white and runny but his back end is not as dirty. I do have a scale but i dont want him on it. I bought it for the seramas.

would you happen to know normal water consumption for a LF roo per day? have it in a quart water and i dont know, guessing , 3 oz. for the day..

If he is pooping watery with a little green, he is not getting enough food through him. Is his crop emptying overnight? If his crop is not emptying, he has a problem......

Will he still eat cooked eggs for you? He needs to eat all of the high protein food you can get him to swallow.
