they were mature the first time i put them together ?? leg bar didnt do anything. the proof was on the beak of that phoenix . there was a ton of blood . my coop looks like a fighting ring.

when my guy gets healed and gets some meat on him i will move the phoenix and try him with the legbar but i have to say, they are both really sweet roos and it will be hard to pick between those 2. as far as looks for me, it would be the swedish but i sure wouldnt mind some blue eggs either. if it comes down to it one of them will get the chopping block and that would be really hard.

Thanks Enola, sometimes i over think things. I have the pen empty but its not really winter ready. something i will have to fix by next winter.

yesterday the swedish roos head was very red and angry looking today it is snow white with a couple red spots. I dont like the way it looks but may be normal ? the legbars comb has a thick purple streak running all the way across. red, purple, red. down ? i dont know how to say. from front to back i guess. first night it wasnt just oh my freezing cold. ice turned to rain. waiting on husband and son to move a work bench in the barn so i can reach elect. with a much bigger cage for him. just gonna keep him there til spring and fatten him up
