now, they can stay like that for 24 hrs. or more but when they start the zip, dont blink. humidity up good ? even steam on the veiwing window is ok. when the first one hatches the others will come faster.

It's a little low. I had to rewet my crochet thing. I'm not counting them yet! But I was so afraid they were all dead that seeing that big hole was awesome. :D

you dont have a way to check humidity do you ? I promise you it will not hurt and more then likely help. it looks dry. get a pr. of white socks , rinse them well of any left over soap and put hot water on them dripping wet. dont put them on the eggs put it in a corner.

I have a hygrometer in there. I'm trying to keep the humidity at 65%. I'm getting a lot of great, but contradictory advice on the humidity, so I'm going to just stick to the 65% for now and try it different next time.

are you still pacing? seems to be the longest day. I dont know if my daughter will be here tonight or tomorrow. guess i will find out soon enough. someone just offered me a male serama. I told them no. I am tired of watching them die. she said hers are pretty hardy. so I am supposed to be thinking about it. I still think its a no.

Making some progress!! :lau

It's tapping and cheeping, and I saw it's little beak once. Sorely tempted to keep it. It's in the biggest egg (86 g starting weight) so maybe it will grow into a huge egg-laying pullet.

:fl :love :D

You're not kidding about that. You have to find your groove. What works for you.

65 is good. Don't worry.
