if its a roller then yes, take it down and on the end there is a little metal piece that will turn (wind). it should be where it goes into the bracket. dont let go of it til its in the bracket. should work then.

But does it really count as road kill if you run it down on purpose?

bones shattered and spread throught the meat not to mention the guts and poo in the meat    NOT EDIBLE  in my book 

As long as you don't bust up the insides. If its not too busted up you can still salvage some meat. Depends how hungry you are.

Not even if it was venison? I've eaten road kill. My sister hit it with her car, dad said its not my deer, you clean it. So sis

would depend on where you hit it   that fresh I would   but then do need to be bleed asap.

So the food banks in North Dakota won't accept processed deer if that particular deer was shot with a lead slug or lead bullet. I asy fine let them starve. The program was the hunter would pay for some of the cost to process and the butcher did the rest for free andthen the meat was donated.

Unless you are super lucky and shoot one thru the jugular I did that one year and ex's sister was SO VERY impressed at how good a shot I was.
