It's good for things like gravy...you don't need a whole bunch but it will help thicken things up a bit.

Is it a necessary? No.

And yes I'm still wearing Jammie's.

I love this stuff for thickening gravies. Works great. the best comparison I can come up with is it (wondra) is to flour what regular sugar is to powdered sugar.
