I've had chickens for several years now, but I have the biggest flock ever right now. Approximately 80, different breeds, 20 hens of different ages, 60 pullets just starting to lay & one 2 yr. old rooster who walks with a limp, so his name is Chester.

Welcome Steve, I can't hardly keep up with them either!

So now we have Twist, Red, Bert, Papa and Steve! Time for some expansion so there is enough room for all of us..

Oh no. Twist, I may not be one of the new roos anymore. Can you show me some good hiding places?

arghhh   no standing pilot on the new boiler everything now must have electronic ignition.  (Thanyou Mr Obama)  so if the power goes out I will now have no heat.  Unless I buy a stand by generator and OMG    what a cluster fark.    :mad: :rant

Twist, if you knew the ignition switch was like that would you have just gone with the newer ones ? electric heat pump, ect.....

not up here we frequently have power outages but the natural gas is almost never interrupted. Gas or propane are the only way to up here. or WOOD BURNING FOR HEAT
