Hi my friends. We are all fine but my heart is broken today at the senseless violence and carnage just 18 miles from my home. 14 gunned down ,17 injured via assault rifles.. My 83 year old pops was having lunch 1/4 mile away. WHY??? I can';t stop crying! WHY? There is an autistic school and homeless services in that building! WHY??? I mentioned a while ago that I was tired of violence and living in fear. I didn't even imagine something like this so close to me. I'm shaken to my core. What has happened to humanity?They identified one of the dead shooters. Syed Farook. WHY???

I heard about it on the radio this afternoon. Thought of you first thing.

I just sit and shake my head. There's no understanding any of it. Does not compute.

Forgot to tell y'all: Ben did go after a chicken today. I was squatting out by the tractor, trying to hang the waterer back up. I usually feed the big coop first, so they're not underfoot, but I wasn't thinking. So I had Ben under my elbow and all the flock crowded around us. When I stood up the chickens darted back and Ben pounced after the polish.

She had run under his legs and tickled his dangly bits. He wasn't a fan.

As soon as I called he stopped and came back. But I had a good laugh.

OMG both poor ben and good ben at the same time.

With the juveys all day every Wed. Still 30 pgs behind, been at it hour! Need the laughs, such a horrible thing that happened.

omg mutt, That's terrible. so thankful all of y'all are ok. Definitely praying for the ones that lost loved ones.

Mutt, so sorry for the fear that this created for you & your family. This world of ours is a scary place, no matter where you live. Godlessness is running rampant in our country. It just breaks my heart to see the hatred, the lack of compassion & all the senseless killings. I can't imagine what is going thru the minds of those that don't believe in God. Because no matter what happens in this crazy world, I know that I have God. I Hope I have not offended anyone, religion as well as government is a touchy subject.

I have electric heaters (the oil filled type) in the 3 rooms I rent and a couple three in the house and it is not supposed to get super cold tonight Thank the lord.........

This may get answered as I read, but what do you do for heat with no power? Besides snuggling with dogs. (That's a story I could tell) Somebody remind me!
