And it's way cool to have them watching people TV through the door while you watch the chicken channel. I put down layers of newspapers and as it gets crapped up, just roll the whole thing up and compost.

DH is on his way to work and brought in my mail. I opened the box and there is a layer of egg yolk. BBL after damage assessment.

They would've made the prettiest babies!

Are there any ugly puppies?  :D

The first dog we ever had was a huge black lab (95+ lbs).  He looked a lot like Ben.  He was a failed hunting dog we got from the pound.  Poor guy was afraid of gun shots!  And thunder, when he would try to shove his massive hulk under the bed.  My dad didn't want to get him neutered, thought he would get lazy.  He ran off to the neighbor's and was naughty with their GS lady dog that was in heat.  Those were cute puppies too!  All 12 of them! :th   Dad changed his mind about keeping an intact dog.  He never got lazy, but he never got over the wanderlust either.  Had to keep him penned if no one was out watching him or he'd disappear for half the day.

I had a golden retriever in college; he was a gift from a family friend. He was housebroken, intact, and about five years old. His family had moved and couldn't take him.

He got friendly with a red lady across the road and she had a little of mangey little flea bags. They were not cute, probably because they weren't taken care of. One day they all ran over to my yard; he took one look and bolted to the porch where he cried and scratched the door til I let him in. He couldn't handle parental responsibility.

Up the road a bit there's a white catahoula with ghostly gray patches and a pink nose. Blue or silver eyes, hard to tell just from driving by. Anyway, she was always in the road, and then she wasn't. It's been awhile. And when I drove by Saturday she was in her yard with three pups. And they are ABSOLUTELY the CUTEST pups I've ever seen. :love Even DH commented on how cute they are.

I looked up catahoula. They are really neat looking. I like the markings and different colored eyes. Sounds like the kind of dog granny wants, with the blue eyes. Do you know how catahoula is different from mountain cur?

OMG ! How stinking cute can one puppy be ?

No clue. The catahoulas are curs, too. Around here they're used to hunt hogs. Our post lady lives just a little through the woods, and her DH has a pack of them. She was the first person we called when Ben was missing, in case one of there's was in heat.
