is tht the yellow looking paper tape or would it matter ? I have that blue paint tape. and I am assuming the lid of the cooler would be the same way ?

the blue tape is fine. even duct tape will work in a pinch

but that will throw the extra melted bits of plexi forward on to where she is trying to cut.

I dont know how to change it any way. LOL also have a table saw.

ok boys, thank you. I only have one good butcher knife and it was hand made. so Im not ruining it.   I wouldnt have the strenght in my hands for that anyway. same for hand held plexi cutter . Is it like a glass cutter ? I have used them and that would be too hard too. 

It's similarly. It just scores it a few times and then you snap it where it's scored. I use to cut plexiglass and glass years ago when I worked at the hardware store.
