I suppose that will be a plus in the hatching but I wanted a tolbunt roo for the spring. I've grown attached to these so called pullets and dont want to get rid especially my frizzles but I don't want two Roos either having crowing competitions again!! At least I have untill Spring to decide or at least find out what is male. I know of a good home if the boy shows itself again thank goodness.
Here are the possible offenders ~

GOOD MORNING! Figure if I say it loud enough it might come true!

Hugs, camping, for your mom and having a migraine while traveling and now limited internet.

That's great you found a good place for your sussex. Maybe some time in the future you can get some back from her. They might be your great great great great grand chickens!

morning wishing !!
York , I would put my money on the first one . cant see the frizzle good though. first and second not the same chicken right ?

Great pictures, York! I don't see any male saddle feathers on the smooth ones, but how do you tell with the frizzles? I did have a hen that tried crowing when the rooster was kept in the garage for quiet time during the summer. She only did it that one morning. Rooster rejoined the flock after 7am, so maybe she didn't feel the need!

Morning, granny! Got any plans today? It's just starting to rain here, so I can't spray the bantam coop for mites. Guess I should drag the surly boy out of bed for driving practice before all the shoppers clog everything up. Gee, and I had such hopes of a fun day.

Sounds like a plan to me! Although I would call it "relaxing and enjoying my beautiful tree"!

Haven't had a Lily update lately. How's she doing? No more big males sniffing around?

I will get some better more up to date pics of the beasties to see what you all think. My previous frizzle roo you could see his saddle feathers well, these frizzle don't have I can see . Here is my other frizzle boy I had and these don't look like him ~
