They are probably 4 to 5 years old.

They are buff Orpington. I had also considered, keeping a couple on the off chance that they would go broody.

Doubt they will if they haven't yet. My Orpingtons from a breeder went broody as pullets! I'd rather have the eggs. No large rooster here, and Mo can't weigh more than a pound, so he's no help!

I think the hens ganged up on him. At least they were getting a bite of that blood when I seen them. I dont know why I didnt just put him down. he cant go back there so I dont have a spot for him now.
