Hiya Mutt!

You sticking to your program? Do you have a trick, or sheer force of will?
Hi! Almost caught up. I'm doing pretty good! Thanks for asking! no trick, just sick of being this way, sitting in the house feeling unhealthy. Yes, sheer will is a big part, attitude is the biggest. It's hard. There's a lot outside to see and do! Today, the stupid chickens followed Pops all the way to the house! It was pretty funny! He gives them all kinds of treats, they hear his scooter and follow him. I had to run them back down to the barn. He's having hip replacement surgery on Mon. If he can be happy and up and around at 83 then shame on me for crying in my beer. I'm doing the best I can every day.
I know we need rain, but thank goodness it's been sunny! 60 daytime, 30+ at night. Are you alright up there?

Hopefully some inspiration, open him up to some new ideas and possibilities. You never know...

I can hardly walk through the yard when the hens are out. I look like a pied piper!

We are getting some rain this week. Kind of on the southern edge of the storm for northern California.
A big relief was the arrival of my senior's report card for last semester. He wasn't doing so hot in a couple of classes, but managed to do alright and got a 3.7 gpa. I didn't realize how much I'd been worried about this. Now when he gets his driver's license

he gets the good student discount on our insurance and he will be able to get a scholarship to our local junior college for next year. I'll still need to go back to work next fall, but there will be less pressure. Kids get more expensive as they get older!

I'm pooped out. I know I've read everything, but I sure didnt retain any of it.

Took DD to Chuck E. Cheese for her birthday, and a good many staff were there. They had a great time playing games. I sold three dozen eggs, so $15 more toward the new coop. That's enough for daylily bulbs! It's looking like I might sell some pullets this weekend. That would be $30-45 more, depending on what they get. It's coming right along!

I bet she had a blast ! I remember those chucky cheese days. still got a token floating around somewhere. LOL
great news about the coop. wondering how it would work out if you tried swapping for the things you need/want. Like a runner for bulbs ?
