No, because they won't be laying age til after summer. I'll get them as chicks in late May.
Funny story. So we have this "dark skinned" girl who works here. She's creole. And she was raised under a rock, so she doesn't know anything. I've know her for about 13 years, and she has always said "crackers!" when something messes up or goes wrong, and sometimes she would call a person that.

We told her not to. She didn't stop, so we gave up. She sounds a little like a parrot when she does it.

So the other day I'm cooking for a group and she wanders in and says she finally knows what a cracker is. "It's from cowboy days. The person with the whip was the cracker."

And I dropped everything out of my hands and hollered "it's what black people call white people and it's not nice!!"

Her eyes got big. So that's why we've been telling her to stop saying that? Yes, yes, yes.
We prefer to be called Native American. ;)

She catches bugs for him to eat lol the other day she had to dig him out a handful of night crawlers

She sure does sound like she loves him very much. It's great to see kids interacting with animals, it's good for them to learn to take care of another living creature.

I found a tiny pullet egg when I locked up the coop last night, so I put it in the hona nest. Hoping she takes the hint.

Great idea camping, fingers crossed she takes the hint ;)
