Quote: oh yes I forgot its Friday!
Any of y'all see my rooster update this morning? I'm ready to move him out but he sounds a little wheezy. :/
nope. He sick ? He is with the SH right ?
Not acting sick. Yes, with the honas. They're not wheezing. Think maybe it's a little fluid from the attack? I can't remember if he was gurgling then or not. He only started when I was handling him.
That doesn't sound god. Can you get him away from the honas? Especially the chicks. Incubation for some of the respiratory crud is 10+ days. How long have you had the Honas?
Honas for three weeks Monday. He's been in with them for 10 days as my sacrifice bird. :/ The chicks are in the outside brooder and I do their food/water first.

do you remember Enolas way of quarantine ? same thing in reverse though. If yours is health and gets sick from them she would cull them all.Dont shoot the messenger
Not shooting anyone! I guess I'll wait a few more days.
I was worried he may give the Honas something. Some of these illnesses go unnoticed or can be masked by other issues (pox). Stress of being injured may have brought out something you didn't know was there. Or maybe he just inhaled a little water.I don't remember you saying anything about him wheezing before this. Could be nothing, but if it is something bad, the damage is done, so harm in waiting to see. Just keep those chicks safe!

Possible, but wouldn't you have noticed it before? I wouldn't move him back out for a few days at least to see where this is going.Could he just be breathing loudly? He's a BIG boy especially for his age. Maybe wheezing is the wrong word. I can hear him breathing like when kids breathe through a big straw or paper towel tube.![]()

Well, if her tries to steal your phone to make crank calls, you'll know he is just a heavy breather.myself for a bad joke!![]()
