yes, I do have a fan.  I calibrated one Sally and they were within 1 degree of each other .  I need to know more on how much air or vent holes are needed. What wishing said yesterday about the tunnel effect makes sense to me. Its very thick walls with styrofoam in between. could be the air is getting lost in between the 2 panels ?  Asked son if I could stick his cat in there to see if it could breath and he wouldnt let me.

I suppose the cat would fit!

Mine only has 5 holes altogether, one above the fan in the lid that I have fully open all the time and 4 in the base in each corner. There quite small too but I do find when chicks have hatched the dander/fluff does get blown out of the top vent hole so I'm presuming the air is drawn through the incubator.
A tunnel affect?

She really is. And so friendly too!

I told my hubs even if we have to build a retirement coop, if she doesn't get preditored or anything like that...she's living out her life with us.

I probably cant explain it like she did but the thickness of the walls having a direct correlation with the width they should be. As in it takes bigger holes to be able to push through a longer "tunnel".

that was some egg twist showed last night ! I would love to crack one. anyone remember nesting dolls ? I used to have some around here somewhere. Reminded me of them. LOL And now I wonder if thats where the name might of came from. the "nest". ?

I think I might be. nose bleed this am from so much blowing I think. funny my air is so dry we even have chapped lips in here while the chicks drown. I would tell you my whole face is hurting but last time I said that was to my sister and she replied " Its killing me ".

and look how pretty ! I believe thats the exact set I have here ! remembering the colors and the different flowers. real light weight teek wood I think.
