As long as you aren't in a straitjacket and a padded cell, I'd say you're sane with four kids lol. Thank God for Zoloft. But I'm not sure I'm completely sane... Lol
She told me about the toxic gene. How hard they are to hatch and then have them die shortly after cause of the gene. She says they aren't the best for egg production and go broody often...
I really just want variation in my egg colors so they are pretty...

Well you should feel extra super good because I got zero done today, other than the bare minimum!I would like to say thank you to all the over achievers on this thread.. Because of you I got so much done today and I am proud of myself!!!!
Quote: Nice beasties, Shell! Lisa, I think a staffy would be Staffordshire Bull Terrier. They're cool dogs. We had a lost one for a day once, until the owners came for him.
Quote: Amazing what a shot of adrenaline can do, huh? You spoke before about your back being worse after surgery. I'll bet this didn't help!!
Cream Legbar, from a good breeder. What didn't you like about the Araucanas? Flighty? (you answered that already!)Enola sent me some good information about the birds I was asking about this morning... Now I'm wondering if I should find a different kind of blue egg laying birds.... Thoughts??? What breeds would that be.
That is truly scary. When my garage caught fire last summer & I had to call the fire department to come help me save all the buildings & house I was terrified. As soon as I called 911 I headed out to the garage & starting trying to knock the fire down. The whole end of the garage was fully engulfed & had burned into the rafters. All I could think about was all my husbands tools & how I had to get the fire under control. The wind was horrific that day. That's how the fire had gotten so out of control without me knowing it. It was blowing the black smoke away from the house & I was in the garage attached to the house painting. If I hadn't been in the garage it would have been a lot worse. While painting I had the back door open and I kept hearing a sound like a plastic grocery sack caught on a branch or fence flapping hard in the high winds. Well it wasn't a plastic bag. When I stepped out the back door, all I could see was black billowing smoke & flames reaching high in the air coming over the top of the garage. Thankfully I heard the noise otherwise the building would have been gone in a few more minutes. I ran out & grabbed the hose & started watering down the flames. As fast as I sprayed the fire, the fire leapt to a new area. If the fire department hadn't finally arrived, it would have been a goner & could have easily spread to the house. Fires scare me to death now. Never want to go thru that again.Speaking of houses on fire, just a few weeks after my back surgery I almost set my mom's house on fire. I was running back and forth with wet blankets. It burnt the steps and the underpinning at the front door. All I can guess is the fire of my cigarette didn't go out like I thought. I was wondering where they got to and they weren't helping me. I look out after I get the fire out and they're in the front yard holding the two dogs. They saved the darn dog's but left me Lol. A man fresh outta back surgery to carry a five gallon buck of water to the fire of their house and they're outside watching. Guess they though it was my fault so I'd have to deal with it lol.I'm doing ok, was having a crash & burn day today. Its embarrassing how little I get accomplished In a day anymore. Don't set no house-a-fire anymore. But it is what it is I guess![]()
