Nobody wants to hit a kid, but it's dark and those things can fly in all sorts of crazy directions. There might be 30 people on a float all throwing stuff at the same time. Beads and cups, candy and toys. DH got hit with a pack of ramen noodles.

The one that hit me was probably aimed for Kane. Sometimes it's a bit of a frenzy.

I like the children's parade the best. It's during the day and all the floats are kids or children's organizations. They throw lots of near things. And no drunk dancing moms.

not yet and sure hope not..we always take the flu shot.

Well that's good, nothing here either & it can stay that way. We're suppose to get 6-10" of lake effect snow tonight. Its blowing & really cold tonight. And everything, driveway & walkways are glare ice. We had a couple of days of some thawing, then it got real cold last night & froze everything solid. My walkways to the coops are treacherous. Takes me longer to walk out there, then to do the chores lol. Not really, but I've fallen & gotten hurt every year on this same icey conditions.

Be careful on that ice you could break a bone..that worries me.i would be miserable if i couldn't take care of my hens.they are scared to death of my DD and really don't care much for DH.It's real cold here.I hope you all don't get sick either..
