The dye is different. That checks for scratches or irregularities on the cornea. That doesn't hurt as much as the dilation drops for me. I haven't let them dilate my eyes for 30 years. They stay dilated for over 24 hours and headache goes for 48. Apparently, I'm just sensitive.

just got notice from the vet that all the dogs need to go in as well. OUCH it's going to hurt. Wonder if I can refuse the "doggie checkup" and just request the shots. ????

same here . and unless you have injured your eye (think you may have something in it) that isnt needed either. If you have a scratch on your eye , step into the bright sun. you will know.
