Good news on the yak front I got sort of bday and year on Granny, Enola and Sheila    according to him they are all 2011 calves.   2 born in May and 1 in June.   my choice as to who was born in what month.   

If granny is preggers this will be her second calf.  Enola and CS's first.  

How long can they breed for? What's the life spand of a yak?

life span varries   depending on who and where you read.   20 to 30 years  is "normal"  Most cow yaks don't have a calf until they are around 4.   They can calve every year after that with the right nutrition and care.   Seems like most bulls have their best years from about 6 to 16 or so. 

well you seem to have gotten them at the right time. Either you done your homework or just lucked up. Either way that's great.
