they screw into to each other at the ends with the help of oil and pipe wrenches. Then hold up to where you want them and use pipe clamps that go over the rod and screw into the wood using 3 inch plus deck screws or lag bolts. The clamps are the same type that plumbers and elcetricians use to hold up water pipes and or conduit pipes.

I have also seen clamps made out of strips of steel heated up to mold over pipe/rod and then have holes drilled into for the lag bolts. I only plan on fencing once in my lifetime. At some point will actually get all the fence up that I want.

What are you keeping in or out ? I am picturing bears. Thats a job i wouldnt want. one a day wouldnt get it. LOL

we did 300 feet yesterday of 4 strands. Good for horses /yaks./cattle. Not sure about sheep and pretty sure goats wouldn't even be fazed by it.
