I have congestive heart failure and my intake and output is monitored closely otherwise I end up down at the ER

I can not drink "straight/plain" water especially if I have been working  I actually get physically ill   and  everyone who has been around me has seen the effect of it on me.   So it is coffee/tea or milk or juice of some type.   And coke  the original.  Or ice tea
I had a serious addiction to redbull from the moment it came out until about 3 years ago. I stopped drinking all carbonated, syruped and or caffinated drinks, don't even drink milk really. The occasional beer and fresh juice is it other than water. I made alot of pretty radical health choices around the same time. Quit smoking cold turkey. Removed my microwave from my house. I stopped eating commercially name brand foods to the best of my ability and starting cooking considerably more than I already was at home.
If I didn't stay hydrated at work I would pass out. The kitchen gets upwards of 120° in the middle of summer.

We have well water and it is very tasty. Switched the water softener salt to potassium chloride. It's more expensive, but I can water house plants with it and it reduces the amount of sodium we get. Water is good tasting straight from the weel, but it is tough in the pipes, so we need a softener system. My dad's well is skunky. Water smells like sulfur- rotten eggs!

even after being through a softener. He's got to filter it after that.
