Enola, you would know... you can have non black chickens that still carry black genes, right? Black is not always dominant?

I think the tolbunt are mostly black when they first hatch . Not sure on that BUT I dont believe its been 6 weeks since I got rid of the silkie either.

For y'all getting ready to plant! A lot of these are also beneficial bed mates for veggies. :)


Catching up but go figure the plants I've kind of wanted are on the bad list lol. (Clematis, honeysuckle)


RIGHT?! :barnie I also have tons of azaleas but the chickens never bothered them or my honeysuckle. They killed my rose, though. And a couple of day lilies.
 
honeysuckle and trumpet vines grow wild all over the place here and I would question honeysuckle being poison.
