good idea. I am low.  very low.  regular eggs, I bet there is 10 dozen sitting in there. Thinking of selling some layers or trading them for chicken food. hahaa

Also dont want Toms chicks . production reds. at least a month old . feathered out for the most part. all pullets . paid $4. each I THINK ? How much  would I sell them for ? 

They have a big swap Mothers day in KY. I would like to try and hold off til then and set up with some extras but I dont know if I should wait or not.

Granny this all sounds fantastic. Getting your flock down to a more manageable number will be so much better for you. How long for the swap?

Little more then a month I guess. Its always Mothers day weekend. Set up fee is $10.-15. 00 for the weekend.

i only set up there once and took an amish man with me to handle the sales . end of day he handed me close to $200.00 . I just walked around trying to spend it all.

I guess DD and family is coming today. she made my favorite salad too. good cause I am hungry. I have asked SIL to burn for me . I have limbs wood boxes . should keep him busy.

550 posts behind. Sunrise service & communion was awesome. Breakfast wasn't bad either. Clover is really growing fast in my garden. Will make for some good southern cowpeas(pinkeyed purple hulls-top pick). Chickens have really started laying 10 laid by 10am. I have 19 layers & 10 pullets.

Good idea getting SIL to burn, keep him out of your hair!! Charlie did some burning for my mother today, he's a little fire bug!!
