yup, except 2 seperate colors not mixed on one feather like that. More like the blue is under and that whatever color it is on top. I call it yellow. LOL
It will be interesting to see how they turn out. I was looking on a d'Anvers thread, and they can tell all these different types (dun and khaki) from the fluff. It's very subtle and I'm just starting to see the shade differences a little. I'm getting so I can tell which yellow chicks will be white, but that's about it!!

ok, thank you. Do you know if its safe to plant them close to the chicken run where the ground dirt is probably strong with chicken Shiit ?
I know if you fertilize with it you should work it in a at least a month before planting. It will burn it up if there's to much nitro in the soil.

They just removed a couple more posts.
they just won't quite.

what color is that bird called . I like it better then the lavender

Blue and gold I think. Maybe someone knows. I'm not up on my colors.

Lavender also tends to have problems with poor feather quality. That little cockerel of mine had al kinds of split and frayed feathers.

When I was a kid, we had a book with a tests for color blindness. I was fascinated to think that I could be looking at the same thing as another person and not see the same thing. Then I started reading about bees. They see ultraviolet.

Here's a test. It tells my age!
