We have actually had cooler summers the last few years, but warmer drier winters. A normal summer would have a week or two of temps over 100, and winter would have a week or two below freezing. It's been less extreme, except for the dreaded drought, which is now in the 5th year, as the snow pack in the Sierra is not quite enough to call it good.

I heard that on the radio/news the other day that they was very good snow pack but not enough to lift Ca out of the drought.

That is because it is shifting up north. I have lived here for many years.... and never had it got to 80 degrees.. Last year we got 90 to 100 degree weather and tomorrow its suppose to hit 80. Its so weird!!!! We usually start putting on our swimming suits at 70. which is the norm here.

occasionally end of july or august I stay inside with the ac except for early morning. But don't sleep of poo when its that hot anything over about 60-65 in the bedroom and it's nothing but cat naps and tossing and turning. Thank the lord it cools down pretty good at nights.

Well, maybe if you weren't sleeping in poo you'd sleep better.
