I dont think I will be planting my tomatoes in straw bales.

over 5bucks each. I bought 12 plants and cant plant them. Maybe I should give them to DD and wait for the results ? Bought 12 marigold plants too. If I could weed whip I would knock the weeds down around the pond and put them there. Kinda bought them for the chickens. curious to see if the bloom would change the yolk color compared to grass clippings , ect...

Granny put them maters in 5 gallon buckets

Can usually find some kind of container for free

Easier to weed too

Do you think the chickens would eat marigold. Usually that is planted to keep critters away, I thought.

It does help deter pests from the garden.

They will happily munch them down to no petals lol
