You can get Safeguard in the horse section of TSC. Give a pea sized dolup on a tiny piece of bread. Repeat in 12 days. It will take care of everything except tapeworms. Tapes are not all that common however.

You might want to do the entire flock too. If one has worms, normally so do the others.

i bought safe guard today, for goats. (sigh) it is a liquid. gonna have to find some dosing info. on a sad note i found spazz today stuck between the ladder and the wall. he is pretty bad off. looks like the chickens either tore him up or he struggled for a while. both wings , head, and under the wings are bloodied and he will not walk. he also has bubbles in his eyes. he did drink a bit when i offered but he is laying in his own poop. i think i am going to have to do the unthinkable. when it rains, it pours. hu?

Sorry about your rooster Granny. SafeGuard liquid goat wormer is great, and has a dosage of 1/4 to 1/2 ml depending on bantam or regular chicken, then repeat in 10 days. Toss all eggs for a total of 24 days. For certain worms such as gapeworm or cecal worms that cause blackhead, higher doses are given for several days in a row. So it's hard to overdose.

thank you eggsesive. i havent done the deed yet but i guess i should. its dark out. no excuses right? i will have to dose about 50 i think. thanks for the info.
