twisted, how do you keep the stock? how long will it keep? your oven rack tickles me. I have a fireplace front? with the glass doors i want to use for a pop door. paint some flames by it.

that thing has really grown !! changed color too. manilla looks like she is smiling. LOL the black one (mama) is my favorite. I brought Binks in the house tonight and he wont leave me alone. do you have any idea how much blood is in a baby chick? serama, got about a quarter size on a paper towel. think thats a lot ?

Well, I'd say if the bleeding's stopped it should be okay with enough fluids. If not, try dabbing the hurt area with corn/potato starch. I think plain flour or ice water will work, too. What happened to make it bleed?

it hasnt hatched. been working on this thing ALL day malpositioned serama shell still on the back and one foot is still in no yolk but a blood vein under the back. it could hatch if it wanted to . its not trying.

Are you sure it's a vein? If it's that far out of the shell, maybe some bits just dried darker than the others making it look like it still has blood in it.

no, it was an active bleed. it left that quarter size spot of blood. I put corn starch in the shell. LOL

He should be alright as long as the humidity is up. I think you're supposed to leave them be until something like 30-40hrs? After that, you can try helping him out. He'll have to have absorbed that vein by then. Lol.

OMG Cheyen !! he is out

the bleed was his umbilical. i used some cold water then antibiotic . he wont even try to stand. this is the first one with 11 fails. i hope his feet are ok. you have always done good with that and i have not fixed one yet

Congrats on the chick granny! Let it rest and maybe give it a bit of sugar water if it needs perking up later. Hope it's okay. If you raise this baby, it will be your best friend!
