my serama hasnt started laying again yet . not that i can hatch them anyway. LOL my LF has laid all winter. more then i need.

every where i see people hatching seramas. except me. the harder this becomes the more i want it ! why cant i just do what i am good with and let it go? every thing is a challenge to me. the only word my children ever got fussed at for saying was Cant . why cant I ? was acceptable but not i cant. has any one ever tried to fix the plastic heated waterer ? are they repairable ? where would i post that?

I have movement in only 2 of the serama eggs. 3 were viable and i thought maybe 4 but one was a blood ring and one , all the veins were gone from 2 days ago and just a free moving dark blob?

Granny, ~patience grasshopper! I think you would have better luck with Seramas waiting until full spring and see if you get a broody. The eggs will be better by then too, bigger I mean. One tip I can give you if you try this is to date the eggs every day you collect them and leave them out on the counter. I found mine will lay really well and then suddenly go broody, so I needed to know which eggs were best to put back under. The 6 pullets are laying well now, but the eggs are still much smaller than the hens'. We didn't try hatching any that small last year. I haven't even checked to see if they are fertile, although little Mo is trying, bless his amorous heart.

what is that? i have been trying for EVER !! she hasnt started back laying yet. I am going to let her try. and spring is never going to get here. some one stole it !! I scored a heat light today at the flea market. 5 dollars and it included the light . not bad hu? I posted my question somewhere, i cant do it again hu? think i put it in coop maintenance

I don't think anyone stole spring! It just came out west for a little vacation. Was 72º here today! Crazy. I have to water now! In January! We'll be lucky to get any rain at all this month. The drought continues... On the bright side, I didn't need socks with my flip flops.

Forever, huh? Seems it was just yesterday that you got your first Seramas. Enjoy them! Savor the anticipation! Teach them to tap dance or something!

I will post new pics tomorrow to help pass the time.

soo, I see who the guilty party is. hmm... you send that sun right back over here where it belongs and put your socks on ! Wonder if everyone on this side of the earth all jumped at the same time if we could tilt the earth far enough to get closer to the sun ? hahhaa actually maybe if just i tried it.

LOL, I know your temps are worse then mine. If i jump I am liable to end up in Fl. but the way my luck runs I would do it the wrong way and hit Alaska .
