Well, granny, i used the toilet paper roll because I could get it to fit better than the aluminum foil roll. The aluminum foil roll was too strong!! I have been a tad lazy lately......

Wishing, there is a big down side to hatching your own. It is just as exciting to watch the first one hatch as it is the 100th. It just dont go away. and then BOOM !!! chicken math at its finest.

I have been a tad lazy for a while now. few yrs. anyway. that why i used the black tape. electrical tape i believe its called. I havent had to redo it since i made it a yr. or so ago.

Lol, no you wouldnt. You would love me, I'm a hillbilly too, ain't nothing fancy about me. I'm usually in sweat pants & my flannel jacket in the winter and my shorts & chicken boots in the summer. Will pm you a picture that one of my daughter's took of me & the grandkids. I had been out doing chores when she brought the kids out & wanted me to go with her and the kids down by the creek to take some pictures. Later that night when I got on Facebook she had posted the picture without my permission. To say the least I wasn't very happy with her. So go check your pm.

the 4 black polish mix chicks i hatched last, their primary feathers are very long. almost touching the floor. the rest of the wing feathers are normal just those 3 or 4. man i wish i could do pictures. any one else see this?

Its a nice picture. I dont blame your daughter for posting it. I stopped wearing shorts a couple yrs. ago. I wear my sweats come middle summer. At first it was because it was such a job to shave them bad boys but I have lost all the hair on my legs now. I wonder if the pants wore it off or bad circulation but we have a lot of bugs around here and my biggest fear is that a tick will crawl up and attach !!

Oh bad bugs, not much left to shave either. I do wear pants a lot as well in the summer.
