Enola. have you tried ebay? Or if there are car cruises or shows you might find where the parts are. We play music at the cruises here & there are lots of friendly people who love to talk about cars.

good idea Linda. they can mail them if its something little. I have been talking to my sister for 1 1/2 hrs. very sad for her. nothing i can go into because of a promise but I hurt for her... What goes around comes around has never been more clear to me. I was going to go mow but the longer i wait the more I am talking myself out of it.

I hate mowing. When I worked in my 20s & had lots of energy, we had a next door neighbor who was very picky about his yard. I had chickens & rabbits then. Over 50 of each. Enough said. He shaved his grass & it drove him nuts when anyone else's was shorter than his. I was busy with my 1st kid & I had a job cleaning tour buses & being supervisor on a bus of deaf & blind kids. Sometimes I got in at 730 am & I was too tired to mow. Well we had a lot of rain that year & the grass ended up over knee high before he caught up with me to say something about it. I told him I had decided that I was just going to let it grow & make hay. Next summer came & he's still shaving his grass. I wasn't working then so I had lots of time on my hands. I mowed about 2 days after he did so his grass was longer. You'd hear him come out & snort when he saw mine. Then he would immediately fix that & mow his. I kept him going all summer. The next year I was back working & left it grow again. There is an 8 foot privacy fence between us now.

Enola, best wishes for you and your Mike. With a schedule like that, I hope you are only working 3 or 4 days a week. When are you supposed to sleep?

Granny, converting the porch sounds like a good plan. I know someone who put up clear plastic sheet material so their chickens could get some light. It's fairly thick, not like dry cleaning bags or anything, and held up well in the weather. You would have to be ruthless about collecting eggs so they don't burst at the seams.

I lost my last newf at 11 years old a few years ago. They are few & far between around here & I am ready for another one. I've had 4 over the years & showed in obedience & conformation. My dogs, cats, rats, snakes, guinea pigs, rabbits & a really nice hen all went to petting zoos, nursing homes & anywhere people wanted to learn about animals. My 1st newf didn't touch any of the smaller critters but she did step on them sometimes.

Well, hubs's "race car" is an 82, our "tow rig" dually is a 94, my car is a 98, and the "toterhome" is a 94...lol we're fully modern.

Have a 60 Austin Healy bug eye sprite that I got when I was 18. Had 3 of em - small & collectable. Had to sell my 60 Chrysler imperial due to zoning. You know you can even mail engines. What do you need?

If it was all up to me it would be on the back porch ! LOL  The brat would never take the garbage out then and the dogs would have a blast going through there to get to the yard.  Got my wheels spinning for a covered walk way.    Just not seeing it.   Monday is payday. wondering if Lowes has the better extension cords ?  And what am I looking for ? Lower gauge wire ?   I still have time , I just dont like things undone.

 Danna, I dont think we ever get to old to look . It just dont seem to impress me any more. LOL

Granny they are a higher amp cord. We needed them for reaching & running our AC in our old motorhome. We now use them when power goes out & hubby has to get generator operating. Not certain where hubby bought them from years ago.
