Update on Emily: she has eaten all her food, drunk all her water, and pooped three times. After around 24 hours in the same position she turned herself around in the milk crate.

I have a list of vets to call Tuesday or Wednesday, just to check prices and chicken knowledge. I have a friend who raises meat birds, and he had one break a leg when he was moving the tractor. By the time he processed, it had healed. About a month, he said. That just feels like too long to wait, unless she's making progress on it.

Give Emily some scrambled eggs and tell her that I hope she heals really fast. You could make a chicken diaper if she's sitting in poop.

Heart Dr was just here & says definitely at 730 am. I am ahead of everyone else. He did make me feel better but I may be getting several stents or bypasses.

Say granny how is Miss Lilly doing with the house full of company?? Any more "treasures" being left by her?? Congrats on having a sexible chick at 2 days you should mark it some how just to see if it does grow up to be a rooster. Name him Over as in over-achiever and if it turns out to be a hen can be over-easy. and if you keep a sister of over easy she can then be Auntie-I-over.

Lilys past owner had lied all the way around and now does NOT want her back. Just as I was on the front porch reading twists post she was in the front room laying a bomb. She is nothing he said she was. I cant handle her. I cant walk her. She is hurting me. I feel like I have failed her.

you haven't failed her ..you tried.. she is just a wild dog..that man knew this.. thats why he won't take her back
