Went to sort the broody eggs and the nest was full of yolk and ants. I think the eggs were broken when the other girls hopped in to lay. So I dumped out the nest, refilled with fresh soft "hay" from my yard, and put it back it. I hope she hops back on it.

Hi everyone, having problems again tonight with post not going thru. Site froze up again and had to restart my phone to get off the site. Picture not loading again grr..... So just wanted to let you know I wasn't one of the lurkers

Well the last egg in the incubator hatched today. I had set 6 Silkie eggs under a broody Silkie. Not all on the same day though, so knew I would have a staggered hatch. Momma Silk hatched her 2 eggs & I put the remaining 4 from my other laying Silkie in the incubator. The first one hatched but died about 6 hours later(uncertain why) the other 3 hatched & are alive. So set 6 & 6 hatched. Of course I left out that the 2 middle eggs I had to assist lol. Momma Silk has adopted the other 3 so she has 5 babies now.

How many eggs did you lose Camping? Did the broody get back on the new nest?

Been trying all day to post pictures. I'm beginning to think it's impossible to do it with a straight talk phone. Anyone else have problems? I've looked and read. The problem probably isn't the phone. Its me i'm sure. Wish my brain worked like normal peoples. Had someone else try it too with no luck.
