My cousin started using stuff in her early teens and never really quit.  Messed up her first marriage and lost her 3 boys. She had another son and was trying to do right by him.  It was a struggle, but she got clean for a few years.  Then she unexpectedly died. Too much damage done and her system just sort of failed.  They called it heart failure, but there was a lot more wrong.  She was in her early 40s.  Teenage son went to live with paternal grandma.  My aunt had 4 grandsons from this daughter, and never gets to see any of them.  So many sad stories.

So sorry to hear that wishing. I also have a cousin in prison for life because of the stuff. You're right, a lot of sad stories. It's not just hurting them. It hurts their family and friends.

So sorry to hear that wishing. I also have a cousin in prison for life because of the stuff. You're right, a lot of sad stories. It's not just hurting them. It hurts their family and friends.

Terrible stuff. I wasn't very close to my cousin. They lived in southern CA, and once us kids got into high school, they quit coming up for visits. There was a some strain among the adults which had a lot to do with it. Anyway, I saw her about 7 years ago, the first time in over 30 years, and she died a couple of years later. Very hard on my aunt.

I amagine it was tough on her. I wasn't close to my cousin either. He lived in New Orleans. Was close to my step brother until he started using years ago. What's bad, he's a good guy and very funny. It's ashamed what that stuff does to families.

The big black blob is her cat Binks (something close to that at least), a Norwegian Forest cat, a great hulking beast. The grayish medium shape is a dead wild rabbit that the cat killed along with a black bird that he also killed and brought both back to pay homage to granny. That cat could keep a family of 4 in meat not problem!

She said he brought her a raccoon one time.

My stuff brother has seven kids and never stuck around to raise any of them. . Ofcourse they were better off without him if he wasn't going to straighten up. Mom and step dad do get to see them all luckily. The foster parents don't mind.
