Thank you Wishing. Yes, it is up to me to make the matches. I work for myself now.  I retired as  Director of Training for a service dog org. Yes, typically I do extensive training and follow up. I also test and re-certify the team each year. This is a unique case. This young mans service dog, Golden Retriever suddenly succumbed to cancer at age 9.Dan was in a tailspin as you can imagine. The San Diego org that had trained and placed that dog with him reached out to see if I had a dog that might fit. Happens I did. They will follow up with their trainer in SD with weekly lessons.

mutt, so where do the dogs come from and how do you find those in need ?

It varies a lot. I try to keep a very well bred (for service work) dog or two in training here in case someone has an immediate need (not a 2 year wait and a 15,000. price tag). It takes 2 years to finish a full service dog for say a quadriplegic, so it's nice to have one in que. Folks usually get referred to me. What I do most often, what I like the most is to help people train their own dog if it's sutibale or help them select a dog and teach them how to train it if they are ambulatory and are capable of training.

used to want to train dogs. read a ton on it and did fair with my own but never went anywhere with it. never ran up on a dog like lily before. My star helps a lot with training.

why with homemade whip cream of course. Easy peasy. Take whipping cream or regular cream start beating it with electric mixer as it starts to fluff up add a little sugar and vanilla and keep beating until it is as stiff (shut up red) as you need it. DONE I do use store bought cream cheese just bring it to room temp and beat until it soft/creamy (hush red) and then stir like normal/
