When I am ready to "retire" my dogs they all get broken. You can't really say fixed since their parts worked before and now they don't
True that! WAY off topic here.I don't believe in early spay/ neuter. I understand it is necessary to control overpopulation of homeless mutts. I don't however see the need to hurry to alter a dog that is not indiscriminately breeding.
Yup. Agree with Twist too, like when neutered male cats have a tiny little head in a big body. Looks top heavy!
My first dog when I was out on my own came into heat at 4 months. I had just made an appointment to have her spayed the following week. Had to go over to a coworker's house and brought Lucy with me. His dogs seemed to like her fine, so left them alone in the yard for about 3 minutes. Came back out to find them literally stuck together!I never thought for a minute that he didn't have his dog neutered.
Glad I had already made the appointment!
I'm up emailing the t-shirt lady for the 5k. I finally got all the sponsors tallied: $2865 in monetary donations. That's FANTASTIC. HUGE RELIEF. Only need $135 to break last year's total, and that's without counting the race registrations or silent auction stuff. We're also going to have a bake sale and plate lunch.
Thanks everyone for your support.![]()
Albacore, olive oil mayo, boiled egg, blk olives, tomato, celery, onion on crackers.cooked barley is good in it to and celery & onions please but forget the relish or chipped dill pickles.
Quote: That sounds AMAZING.
We tried to make our own... First time I didn't use the nori sheets. I got it all layered and rolled up, but couldn't cut it. So it turned into a big pile of sushi rice (with the sugar and rice vinegar) and avocado and cream cheese that we ate with our fingers. We had also been partaking of adult beverages. It was a hilarious evening.![]()
That's a lot of work, but sounds like you guys had fun!![]()
There are certain things I don't want to learn how to cook. Sushi, Thai food, complicated things like that I'd rather leave to the experts. Most regular food I can cook as good or better than a restaurant for a third the cost, so if I can cook it, we eat it at home. If it weren't for sushi and Thai and the like, I wouldn't ever eat out!
Good night to everyone headed to dreamland!![]()

Meant the opposite of looks top heavy! What would you call it? Pin-headed?![]()
"breaking" them to young is why so many dogs never look like their sex should they haven't had a chance to grow up and develop like they should.
I recommend trying it a few times! We stick to really simple rolls. It's a little pricey to get everything the first time, but lots of the ingredients are multi-use. I got the mats on amazon for $6 or so. And there's a STEEP learning curve. That's a lot of work, but sounds like you guys had fun! That sounds AMAZING. We tried to make our own... It was a hilarious evening.I like the smoked herring. I don't think I've tried pickled... I like sardines in mustard or hot sauce. And I like the lemon dill or sweet and spicy tunas. Or plain tuna. Basically I just love fish. Any sushi or sashimi fans? We found a place with a happy hour once, and we ordered sushi by the piece (instead of a roll). I ate SO MUCH that I could barely walk out of the restaurant. It was excellent.Me! I love sushi! My favorite is a sushi boat restaurant. There are little floating boats hooked together in a huge loop that go round and round in a water channel. Customers sit around the outside, kind of like a bar situation, and the sushi is prepared in the center area and set out on the boats. You just grab whatever looks good as it passes by. Prices are set by the color/pattern of the dish it's on. Great way to try new things, since there's only 1-3 pieces on a plate. Mmm.![]()
