Sorry granny about your bird, sometimes it's just not meant to be. It is snowing & blowing here & I have never had Silkies through a winter except for when they were babies. Not certain if I should be providing a little warmth or not. They are a fuzzy birds & they all pile in a heap in their sleeping box. Their coop is insulted & the waterer inside hasn't been freezing yet so I think I'm ok for now. Any opinions out there?

It was 78 here today, breezy high 30's at night. The only time of year I love here.

Granny I think I would move the feeders and waterers into the coops . It would also make it a little easier on you for the winter.

ok I need to make an awning over the door then because of all places on my flat rubber roof that is the perfect spot for the snow to melt and refreeze so bad I cant get the door opened sometimes. It should be an easy fix though.
