I've done that before. Make sure the case is on the small side for the pillows, or they will spread out and the dog will end up with no cushion underneath.

there you are ! LOL i am wanting to hide a cord . LOL about 3ft long. did you use very heavy material ?

Camping, I was looking at the BIG dog beds and the prices they have on them $50-80 for the size I want. thinking of making my own. I figure 3 of those $3. pillows and put them as-is into a case would be best. any thoughts ?

Sounds good! I've stuffed dog beds with old towels or blankets and sleeping bags. Right now they sleep on a down comforter that I got for free when I bought an antique cabinet. The guy didn't want it.

Should be easy to clean, too.

Whatever you have. I'm using cotton duck right now. Sturdy, and hobby lobby has it in pretty prints.

Finally made it! Trying to read and do dinner at the same time makes both take longer!

Not a migraine. I can't do anything but lie in a dark room and whimper if I have one of those. And thankfully they seem to have mostly gone since I had kids. This headache I blame on those dang annoying hormones.

Dog bed cover was made of a really light denim. I stuffed it with pillows or old comforters. Lucy liked to dig at it and make herself a nest, so it wore out in a few years. That, and I washed the heck out it.
