It was me. Reconnected to the wifi. It said I had full strength, but obviously needed a reboot. Much better now.

We just had catfish tonight, in black bean sauce. Yum. Only Chinese restaurant in town that I will eat at and it happens to be the closest one to us! Got some yummy soup too. I don't think I've knowingly had catfish before, but probably have. Fish tacos and ceviche I bet.

Anything shrimp is good. There was some in the soup. I've had some crazy things at family banquets (Chinese). Jellyfish is something I never thought I'd like, but it's pretty good. And black fungus/mushroom. They way I grew up, we ate simple food, and my dad never wanted to eat out, so it was a rare occasion. I think I was 18 before I had good Chinese food. Before that, mom got Chun-King in the can once in a while! Hahahaa! Don't tell my mother in law!

I remember those LaChoy brand. on those nasty fried brown noodle things. Only thing they are good for is making "haystacks"

Melted almond bark white or chocolate some nuts if you want pour the melted over noodles stir until combined drop what ever size you want onto wax paper.

I was raised with a Thai mom and a dad from Iowa. I got the best of both worlds but man, every time someone invites us out to the best Thai restaurant... I think it's garbage... Kind of like saying McDonald's represents the best of the American hamburger... Yeah, no.

totally get that. Food is always better cooked at home and with love.

I just can't handle the "heat" in most thai cooking. I love spice but not heat.

Can you believe I've never seen Dr. Who? Nor Titanic. None of the Godfathers either. Daleks pop up in crossword puzzles, but I had to look it up!

Linda, are you hapa? I love Thai food. Much better than Chinese, I think. I don't even care if it's not like mom makes it. It's got the best flavors.
