Hope all is doing well tonight. Granny any news on your foot /hip?

Jane my birds are laying fine on ff. I do have fewer laying because of molt & I haven't started with the light yet because I'm trying to get these one thru their molt before I do. Hope the girls get to laying better, but why do husbands have to be so darn skeptical of our abilities grr....

Think mine are going through a light molt- some feathers im nests and on ground. Light will be turned on for 1st at 3am. Fed 20 percent layer pellets starting yesterday. I dont like the taste of bought eggs. I just thought my yolks were pale yellow.

I'm glad he has one chick. I wish it could have been more but next time should be better.

1 is good. That's how my pet Blue Feet was raised. She never saw another chicken after her hatch mate died. She went everywhere and was spoiled rotten. I'd love to have another one that was that friendly.

Thanks newfie. Its already getting spoiled. It loves the silkie. Follows it everywhere.

You can still ferment the layer feed. I bought a bag of alfalfa pellets. You toss in a small handful to a 2 gallon bucket of feed. That's brought the nice orange color back to the yolks like when they could Free range without them getting the squirts lol.

Got all but 2 boards off a pallet. Building nest boxes and roosts tomorrow. I'm so excited!
