I'm not sure on a chicken. I'd just watch for the skin turning red. Chickens don't make runny pus like us mammals do. It's more like semi-soft cheese. Like in the bumblefoot surgery. So any of that would be from infection. Keep her clean. Topical antibiotic is good. (Not the pain relief kind. No lidocaine or anything else with "-caine.") Betadine is an excellent antiseptic to use. Peroxide is good for killing germs, but it also destroys some of the skin cells, so can take longer to heal if used frequently.
In my book, if an injured animal is eating, drinking, and pooping, all systems are go and chances are pretty good for recovery.
