The reason I am asking is their first "season" can be all over the place as far as duration and how "intense" the heat cycle is. At least in my experience.

isnt this the wrong time of year ? How long do they stay pregnant ? I thought they birthed in fall and late spring ?

they usually cycle 2x a year. Beth was a dec pup and went 9 months before her first. Gestation is 58 to 63 days normally. fall and spring are the normal times for a cycle but why would you expect normal at you house

How long do they stay in heat ? only had one pregnante dog before and thats been a long time ago. BRB abc

21 days give or take. First 3 are swelling, 9-12 days of bleeding red, bleeding slows turns watermelon colored after 9-12 days.,After 9 days till about 17 days they can get preggie.
