I'm not sure if you can or can't when they have it, I'm sure if you let it pass then freezer camp them they should be ok. After having the disease they are not carriers of it.

x2I agree with granny Jane that you should keep him separate for now. Your other birds may be infected already but not showing signs yet. Pox is a virus (part of the herpes family) I think, that generally has to work it's course through the bird. Have a read of the article I left above for any other symptoms.
I didnt find anything on eating them. sorry.
Sally, It has a IMO a strong fan. the bottom was framed with 2x2s dry. I would add water , next day gone. humidity gone. Tried covering one of 2 very large air holes silver dollar size to slow it down didnt work, shrink wrapped, so I tried dry method. worked good til lock down then added water , hydro showed good they all died at pip. internal. tested hydro works fine.
stated dont run heat without fan.
I didnt exactly trash it its in my bathtub where it landed so many months ago. it has a crack down one side that is taped up . I was hurt after so many deaths. I need a good bator. this is my 3rd styrofoam one. 1st. one was great or about 10 hatches or so. Loaned it out and it came back with maggots . bleached it but wont hold temp.
