DH kept DD home from school so he can take her to the doc. Bronchitis maybe? Both kids have crazy coughs. I've been giving them honey and cough meds, nothing really helps.

eta: are their coughs congested, or do they sound like seals barking?


what we use on the kids, that seems to work......

honey cayenne pepper and garlic powder.......

I'm not sure if it takes away their cough, or they learn how to stop coughing to not take it........lol

another thing that worked for me......

daub of ACV, and fresh squeezed lemon, half a cup of water and cayenne pepper........

etaa: heat this last concoction up, for better flavor.......kind of.......

Hey ! I got a cobbler recipe     its good and easy i had forgot about it. 
its a cup of everything 9x9 pan
self rising flour, milk, sugar, stick of butter chopped, teas. of vanilla extract mix it right in the 9x9 then dump a lg. can of fruit, juice and all over the mix. bake 350 about an hr. I like the pears .

Thats a good easy desert actually was tge first recipe i learned

Im feeling compel d to write this morning about Christmas and family. Nothing like a large family gathered around the table or fire . everyone together at Christmas Right ? I had 5 sisters. that makes for the right ingredient to have that picture perfect holiday, dont it ? Not for me it dont. see, I came from a broken home where everyone picked sides and no one was close. jealousy ran through the sisters and favorites were drawn. I had my favorite as did we all. I remember a present one yr. a tipy tumbles doll. she did flips on a wired remote. As I sat under the tree playing with her one of my sister came and jumped in the air , kicked me in the back and said, sit up straight. Thats my only memory of Christmas at home. Jump to a small daughter and not a dime in my pocket, I rummaged through her toy box and got what was on the bottom that she hadnt played with and wrapped it for Christmas. But, I made sure santa came to the house because she heard the bells and left the back door open and a cookie was gone. that is her favorite memory today. I am blessed this year to have my daughter and grandkids ,son and dh with me. But, as you can see , it wasnt always so. My sisters dont contact me or very rarely . I didnt hear from anyone on thanksgiving. I dont have memories to draw on. some this yr . are facing Christmas without familys around them and it sounds very depressing but it dont have to be. You can draw on memorys of Christmas past and you can know you are loved. good friend can be family , a stranger on the street with no coat can be family, However you choose to look at it. remember, Its in your heart and mine....

They sound congested. It's worse at night.
