I'm still stuck with the babies my sister just had to have me hatch... I have a feeling my chicken population just doubled

I was doing that last winter. Hatched 29 birds for a BIL & then he decided that they would get pullets from the hatchery. Out of the first 18 hatched, 11 were roosters. Cost me a ton of money to heat the coop, feed & shavings for nothing. I was furious, never again.

Ohhhh no. I tried attempted the round egg experiment... and at a week they all had tails. I am hoping for hens, but I have to learn how to dress a bird one of these days. I know I can do it... its the family that.. I have to do it when they are gone.

yes, thats it and a strong fan that dries the water in a day. I was told to not use the heat without the fan. and also 2 thermostats.
