(sigh) Let me see if I remember this.. LOL

3c. sugar, 1/2-3/4 c. coco, dash salt, 1 1/2 c milk
stir until it comes to a complete boil then dont stir at all til it comes to soft boil stage or 234 degrees on a candy thermometer.
take it off the heat and add 1/4 stick butter , 1 teaspoon vanilla
stir until it starts to lose its gloss or gets hard to stir and quickly pour up into a buttered 8x8 dish.
you may add nuts when you put the butter in.
