I did the round egg experiment for three generations. I got a bunch of pullets that laid round eggs. The hatch rate of male/female chicks was still about 50/50. I was using a barred rock hen and an Araucana rooster. So I knew the sex ratio as soon as they hatched. My hypotheses? By breeding hens that lay round eggs for a few generations, you will end up with a line of pullets that lay round eggs......
 
Well, papa, he claimed it came from not wearing arch supports in his shoes for a couple of days. So, you be good now. Don't go causing any trouble!
