I agree. My pit is a sweetheart but I know how to train them.

Don't get me wrong I love beer especially Corona extra but I don't wanna have to explain to my kids why I'm drinking it and they can't

I grew up in a drinking family also. But I was also taught very early on that just because an adult gets to do something doesn't mean the kid does.

I agree most times it is the fault of the owner. But I would not leave my kids alone with a pit. Just because of the capability. The same way I wouldn't leave my kids alone with my loaded guns.

Having said that when people tell me " oh he/she won't bite" bothers me a dog or any animal has a mouthful of teeth and a mind of his own, and you poke most any critter enuff and they will retaliate lol

My bil new girlfriend said her brother freaked out on her cause she was bringing her son here and he is certain oly will hurt him.. Kind of upset me... But I need to remember that pits have bad press.
